A Heart's Promise

A heart long dead and locked away, in solitude it lay,

It found no peace, however in darkness it would stay.

Beneath moon's embrace, an elf drifts through the night,

In silver light, a tender hope, began to take its flight.

A heart locked with unyielding resolve, freed with tender ease,

By whispers soft and gentle touch, upon a snowy eve.

Unwavering, I'll walk with you through the strongest of storms,

Through calm and storm, my promises will never lose form.

Though longing to reach out and hold you close, I pause and wait,

Respecting your need for time and space, I guard the gate.

With quiet strength, I hold my heart, with patience as my guide,

Allowing you the space to heal, and find peace deep inside.

I'll risk my heart, embrace your tears, and face all your rage,

Through storm and shine, I'll follow you, my support at every stage.

In joy and pain, I'll share your days, both the bright and the bleak,

Though you are scared and uncertain, my resolve will never break.
